Whatever your definition of spam is you can now avoid it! Here are 4 links that are sure to make your blood pressure drop!

I was told this concept was a bit hard to understand. Each of the links below is a different SL fourm new post search, but has a filter applied to the link that removes unwanted board sections. For example the first link removes all classified section posts from the new post search results.

The links ithat are labeled Greasemonkey - are used with the Firefox browser, in conjuntion with the Greasemonkey plugin. Those scripts automaticly tell Firefox to change the new post link on the web page to the filter search.

If you need any help using either meathod IM me and I'll be happy to help ya out )
No commercials (Greasemonkey - no commercial)

Nothing but commericals and announcements ( Greasemonkey - only commercialsl)

Just the the political type forums and announcements (Greasemonkey - political)

No general off topic or politics (Greasemonkey - no general or off topic)

Just copy any of these links to your link bar in your browser and you have the new post search of your dreams at your finger tips.

If you want some other type of search filter post it here and I'll make up a link for ya.

I added greasemonkey scripts for each option, so if you are using Firefox it will automaticly change your new post button link. you can install Greasemonkey here.

Hey cua this sure could be handy! Thanx for the links... I'm curious what the long links are for those?

Also, do you use Firefox? I'm lookin' for a way to do a quicksearch, Show results as POSTS but haven't figured out how yet. Cheerio!

I use Firefox, but I haven't found a way to change those search options yet either.

I did add Greasemonkey scripts for each of the search options I made. I'm a Greasemonkey novice, so use those with care.

The link itself is just long. tinyURL just makes it easier to move around.

It appears tinyURL is down. I'm sorry, I hadn't realized they were so unstable.

TinyURL is back up as of yesterday. You can use either set of links now.

The basic format for removing a thread from the new posts search results is

http://forums.secondlife.com/search.php?do=getnew&exclude=(x)

where x is the forum ID of the board you want removed. For example to remove the new products ads from new posts you would use

/invalid_link.html

You can string together multiple forum IDs with commas. for example

/invalid_link.html

removes shopping and new products.

Offer still stands if you want me to make a specific filter post it here and I'll take care of it.
