All these threads about Second Life are neat.
And I like the threads, even though I understand and sometimes experience that it will generally be harder and harder for me to read them as these threads are posted.
But last week, I experienced a different feeling for the first time. It was like, hey, wait, can't I just catch my breath for a LITTLE while?
There is such a thing as things changing too fast, with scarcely any time to settle down and read.
I do love the threads, and all the work they put into them.
But . . . I never thought I'd say this, but I'm beginning to wish they would go at this a bit more slowly, so I'd have time to reply instead of being up against new threads so often.
Instead of just getting the last one to work, settling down, thinking things are going to be okay - and then wham, here comes another - go to new posts, cross your fingers, hope that someone with half a brain is posting, then wait while it goes into the fray of replies, wondering if it will work at all, and what what problems will come with it that will cause thread closures, and should you just wait a day till it shakes out, etc. etc. etc.
And - let's face it - with every new thread, some people get cut out of being able to reply at all, and for all I know, the next time it could be me. That's anxiety-causing. I need to take something for that, maybe.
It's okay every so often, but too often, and a person feels kind of battle fatigued or something.
Especially if you're not the kind who just loves a whole new reading challenge to figure out every week. (That's not fun, that's a headache!)
I'd like a few weeks just to read and REPLY, without worrying about whether or not other people will post entirely new things to discuss or not. It's hard deciding what's worth talking about and what's worth ignoring. People say a lot of useless crap. Like this thread.

hahahahaha omg Ingrid I laughed so hard I inhaled a rice crispy and coughed painfully for several minutes. Worth it, though.
