Object off the sim? Or is it?

Well, I'm living in a rental condo located right on the edge of an island sim - when I mean on the edge, the outside of the wall is right up against the uncrossable void.

So here's the thing. I was hanging a picture on the wall in one of the rooms - the wall that's on the void side. Well, you know how when your trying to get pictures right up against the wall, it sometimes passes beyond while your adjusting it? Usually not an issue.. just drag it back.

However, when my picture did pass through, I lost it competely. The adjustment arrows vanished and the edit window blanked out. I lost my picture off the sim. At least I think I did.

My prim count didn't change when it got lost - I'm still being counted for it, where ever it is. I tried everything I could to see it it was either nearby or perhaps in the wall, using debug tools. No luck.

It never returned to my lost and found either.

Where did it go?

Oh.. well, the Condo owner found the picture and returned it to me. I still wonder where it got to though.

There are ways to push objects off over the void, as long as they are tied to an object on the land. I can remember North Paris having docks out in ocean that were unaccessable, before GinkoTec sold it.
