Probably just me, but I noticed yesterday that the quote, post new reply etc buttons disappeared from the forum using Firefox 1.5 (which I'd been posting with quite happily beforehand). I thought that I might have been banned for bananaphoning but I could still read posts quite happily, just not respond to them, and I can post using Safari, as I'm doing now.
Don't suppose anyone has any ideas? I checked the actual HTML of the page and it *looks* like it should be working... I'm a little baffled. And I *like* Firefox. This is the first release for OS X that I've been happy to use regularly.
edit: yes, tried closing and restarting, logging out then in again, and rebooting, and I haven't installed any weird extensions

I'm using FireFox 1.5 on WinXP right now, no issues here. Probly something wrong with the Mac version or just your copy.

Are you using some kind of ad-blocking extension? I had this problem with some filters in Adblock, myself, some time ago.
I think maybe 1.5 isn't working well with Adblock, also. But, I'm not entirely sure about that.(I haven't upgraded to 1.5 yet)

I wasn't able to find bugmenot for firefox. Look Tools>Options>Content and see if load images is ticked. If it is, then click on exceptions and see if anything second life related is in there... If I could find bugmenot, I'd try to experiment with that too

No issies here. So far the only extension that gave me any greif was Gmail Manager, it would jam Firfox open after I closed it all out, and couldn't really handly all 12 accounts.

I'll try disabling then re-enabling my extensions but it's odd, because it was working fine up until yesterday about midday. Computers, funny things.

Okay, well, it turned out to be because I'd blocked images from forums.secondlife.com, which meant that none of the buttons or their alt texts were showing up. That was pretty stupid of me. No idea how I managed to do that.

Right click on an image, second from the bottom option is 'Block images from...'. Would be quite easy to mis-click when trying to get the properties for an image.
