Trip speaks.

I have long avoided the forums. The floor is sticky and there are no windows. I always thought that one day, I would post something worth reading. So with time running out, I'm posting. It's not really worth reading so feel free to stop here.


First, a few confessions:

I'm an alt that gained power and killed the 'main' account. I'll never tell who I was.

I have always lurked on the forums.

Sometimes, I wonder how many people on here know I exist. But I don't really care.

I have a few enemies, I'm not sure why they don't like me.

I have a few friends, I'm not sure why they like me.

I hate greedy unethical people.

My parents play SL. -cringes-

And lastly, I strongly dislike and often fear corn on the cob.


Now that that's out of the way, I will babble.

I have seen many changes in SL since I first joined, some good and some quite bad. Unverified accounts seemed to cause the biggest reaction. I don't mind it much. I was able to convince a few friends to join after that. Yes, there are more newbies, but that's a good thing. Surely you cant blame the lot of them for a few assholes and underagers, or have those terms become synonyms? Besides, unverified accounts has helped me form an army of alts that sit nicely on a shelf collecting dust like...that word...for little statue thingies.

I may have ADD, I got bored in the middle of this post.

What else did I want to say? Anyone know?

Oh, the whole thing about age-playing gorean furries with flat feet or whatever. I don't like it, but I'm not going to try to stop anyone from doing what they want. I don't understand why people have to post about how sick it is, they're just bringing attention to something they don't want anyone to have to see. Seems odd, to me anyway. It is that reason alone that I haven't ranted about the emo-goth-kitty kids. Whoops.

All this opinion sharing is exhausting.

I also dislike the popularity contest that exists. But that's human nature and I cant change that. Yet.

My strangest experience in SL did not include sheep or oversized male bits. It was when a newbie approached me and said they were starstruck and honored to meet me as they had joined SL because of an article featuring me. I was not quite sure how to respond. Several other newbies have done the same since then and I still don't know exactly how to respond. I usually just say "Relax, I'm just Trip"

And you are just you. I think people forget that here sometimes. A fitting quote: "You are not special. You are not a beautiful or unique snowflake. You're the same decaying organic matter as everything else."


Anyway, that's enough of that. Time to settle down and keep quiet. Time for a new regime.
