Ever Since the change in registration rules griefing has had a steady Incline.More underage people get accounts now. I am friends with many underage players that is fine by me because they are mature and dont fly around shooting people.More Underage accounts equal more griefers.
Visit a sandbox, Build something Interesting, Amazing and people will come and admire and thats a huge beacon for greifers saying "lots of fresh meat in a pile over here!".I recently bought some interesting realisticly broken down buildings so when the sandbox gets wiped I teleport over and started building a city. A few people come to talk including someone with a cager cane. He shoots some cages around It didnt really fit with the enviroment so I asked him to shoot around in an empty space. He stuck around not shooting anymore until some came over he shot at him purposly missing though. at that time im saying to myself "Uh-oh a fire fight in my new build just great" and the person who just arrived shot a cager that made self replicating cage bubbles I teleported close to my build and then asked both to stop fighting as this is a no weapons sandbox.
He refused to stop and when two other residents came he shot them two."why grief?" I asked and he replied "cuz its fun!" I then asked again for him to remove the bubble cages and go to the combat sandbox. He then made it so he I get huge notecards that cover helf my screen that have instructions to a fan I Xed it out and another cam and another ect.He then fired an orbiter at me so Im getting spammed lagged and orbited. Many insidents like the happen to me at the sandbox at a day to day basis.
Griefing has gone to far. Thankyou Linden for putting the push restrict option on land it renders freebies like the c4 and pogun useless. Yet a a couple days after they put it in the game gun stores around the grid have created push restric bypassing weapons. Someone would find this out in a simple glance at the search option! The rule was made so push weapons wouldnt work on land that doesnt want it to work but they have boldy made a weapon that bypasses Linden's rules and they are still in business that is like selling drugs in the sheriff's office!
Many resistant groups have started popping up all over the grid along with player owned governments. This is a GREAT idea If linden cant stop griefing then us the residents will! It is not linden's job to protect us its OURS! I urge you all get an anti grief system, make one anything! fight back against greifers! The time is now to pick up a shovel and fix this mess join a anti greifing group like the residents militia or island police or something and resist, file AR's (although it doesnt seem to help) cage grifers and talk to them start a anti griefing group! We have the power to stop griefers we just need to work together to use it!.
Hear my plea and work together to fight greifers. The sandboxes will be ours again the mainland will be ours again the popular places will be ours again! we just need to try.

If this happens again and you see me on, holler and I'll come Orbit them a few times for you.
They tend to get tired of it after a while and its great fun for me.

You might want to try the Newcomb sandbox. It should have less trouble since its no script territory.
If the there are physics enable objects like cages littering your build you can use push on them to remove them in Cordova, Goguen, and Island sandboxes.

From: Jonas Pierterson He was in the Newcomb Sandbox. There a build fitting the description with his name on it in Cordova. --- Addenda ---- Newcomb used to be almost empty most of the time. I suppose the increased population is affecting it now. Sigh.

Yes, I will gladly join the fight. I'm so fed up with them. Just tell me what weapons I can use. I usually draw out my bazooka, but since that kind of thing can get an AR at me, I'd like to learn the more legal measures for fighting against the scum of the universe. E.g. how do I orbit them, what does it do? How to cage them, and what does that do? Most recent memory of griefers was when I found I was trapped inside of a transparent bubble in the middle of a building class Is that how the cages work? And I could carry one on me all the time?

Orbiting and caging are both abuse reportable actions.

Care to expand on that, Jonas? I have no idea what that is I only use verbal lashing, which results into nothing really, except for griefers to get even more kick out of it. Windozer: Would enabling damage in your plot make you, yourself vulnerable too? And yes, I like ejecting people... haven't been able to freeze anyone yet tho... I'm sure it would be fun

Nonphysical movement is done by a scripted device that you sit on. It's a nonphysical object so push won't affect you. The devices allow you to move and some make you look like you're not sitting on anything.

I'm sure it would be fun it does make you vulnerable but if you have a good shield, the freebie weapons newb griefers use cant break them.

SL isn't suposed to be some friggin war game. I know i didn't sign up for that. I'l stick with banning the f%cktards when they attack my land. If i wanted to have a full PvP battleground i would have played some cheap assed PvP game or counterstrike... I come to SL to be creative and socialize, not to guard territory with my finger on the button...

The devices allow you to move and some make you look like you're not sitting on anything. Just to quote this post, one of these can be found in my vendors in the freebie pack. The picks tab on my profile lists vendor locations. I modified mine so that when you sit on it, you simulate floating/flying/hovering animations to make it look like your actually flying around. i attempted to make one that simulates walking but it tends to bend your legs up into your chest.

Whever I stay I get lagged or griefed we have to do something about this. It is gettting worse and worse People dont hesitate to fight back!
