Fun with New Group Limits!

OK, so we now get 25 groups we can belong to instead of being limited to 15!

A lot of my groups are business groups, and I've had to drop out of some groups I'd rather not have.

So last night, I spent some time looking at the groups tab. All the groups I could join now! Ones about movies, all kinds of things!

I haven't joined any new ones yet, but I will!

Have you thought about what you are going to do with the new group limits, or maybe joined some groups you've been wanting to?

Oh so appropriately for the forums, I joined more furry, gorean, and ageplay groups.

Alas, I had all 25 groups full in one day. I've been able to combine some of the business groups, because there are roles now, but I still need more than 25!

I can't tell from a global perspective, but the talk in the club areas is a merging of groups and actualy a reduction in the number of groups. However the "Two person limit" will create a lot of small groups for couples to manage there objects.

When are we going to get more than 25 groups? I have to leave groups I don't want to leave when I hit the limit of 25. When is LL gonna increase the limit?

My home sim Serenity Woods used to use 3 groups for its residents.
Fans groups = For Chatter and event posting
Main Group = For residents to set home to here, built, set up vendors, exc
Security Group = for the security staff. Previusly had to use a security orb to ban people.

Now with the new group system with roles, its in 2 groups.
Fans Group = Still wish to keep the chatter here so the tenants dont get anoyed. This is until LL decides to allow us to mute group sessions...
Main Group = Added several new roles and merged the security group.

The result is now we have more staff members for the sim and less groups to worry about. Thank you for the group overhaul. This was a wonderful gift to those of us who pay for sims and manage places.

i like the role aspect of it. see so many people in 5 groups for same thing. one for vip. one for dancer, one for host, one for bla bla. count all those as one now. or 2 i guess 1 for basic vip for all then 1 for working there.
but for me iam not in any vip. all they are is spam whores! ive only hit my limit once when it was 15 thats because friends wanted me in there "oh iam kewl i have my own group" .. join for a few days then silently leave. make them feel special for a bit.

but that is me. for all of you who likes to join groups i see no reason to have a limit. i mean really if you like magazines are the companys going to say "oh you have 5 magazines already you have to stop one before you can get another" or are they going to take your money. because all a group is is a way to spread info about the group. so why haqve limits at all. if you want to be in 100 groups then be it i say. *covers eyes thinking of spam* but yes really why have limits at all. does it cause more server load to say he has 25 over another has 1. wouldnt think so. its our freedom to do what we want. if one person wants more who cares.

so i say let them have unlimited groups!
