I would like to have a group forum devoted to talking about computer hardware, with topics that would include what the best machines are, what the best deals are and where to get them, building your own on a budget versus buying a used machine on eBay, etc. - anything dealing with computers really.

I formed a group a while back called Computer Shoppers, which is about to die unless it gets some more members.

Here's the charter:

The goal of this group is to get a forum created for discussing buying computers. We would discuss things like what looks good on ebay, or what the best build it yourself deal at different price levels is, or whether one should buy some item now or wait for it's replacement. Normal computer shopping chitchat.


People talk about such matters to a small extent in the technical forum but they are constrained by the need to maintain relevance to SL.

If anyone has any suggestions for better group titles or better wording for the charter or please let me know.

The existing group, called "Computer Shoppers", is open join, no fees.
