There is a fabulous hotel that Cristiano built in Federal, right on the water front right next to his Anomations shop. I'm brain dead and the name escapes me, but it is lovely.

How many questions do you have? Maybe you could compile them all in one thread.

There is also a search function within the game. Please use it, people are much more eager to help those who make at least a token effort to find an answer for themselves.

One way to find the answers to questions like "Are there any schools?" is to use the Search button at the bottom of the SL screen. You could use the All tab, and search for school, read the results, then try school related words as search terms, one word at a time, like college, or university, or class, or lesson.

Joining the New Citizens group and hanging out at the Shelter might be useful. TeaZers gives classes to.

People mentioned the design forum and the knowledgebase. Those are both things to be found on the secondlife.com website. There are other useful pieces of information on the secondlife.com website, and the way to find out what they are is to click on the links and see where they take you.

There is a category Education in the Search function Events tab - if you select that category, and put in clothes as a search term, you might find a class on clothesmaking.

just for giggles i used to beifly have a "crackhouse" on my 512 back in the day... pay by the hour for some particle roaches in a 3x3m room, complete with stains on the wall, a nasty looking matress .... and some bums roaming around outside

There are some deco hotels, inspired by those in Miami, in Rustic.

They are along the boardwalk, with beach and surf. There is a fantastic art gallery nearby, as well.

Quoted for emphasis. (Bolding and sizing, mine.)

Actually, Im a pretty linear person and easily get confused with a multiple subjects in a thread. So, I can totally see asking one question in one thread for clarity.

It always amazes me how people can keep track of a conversation that is rocketing all over the place with what appears to be no rhyme or reason. At least I have learned that that is the way I process information and that it's OK to say "wait, Im lost here" ...

And, besides, it's not like we are gonna run out of threads. Well, not for this reason anyway. :)
