An object named Red Angel Wings owned by an unknown user gave you james hoodoo nude pic.
the texture's description read like this:
"this is for revenge. please pass it on. shouldn't piss off someone who has nude pics of you."
The picture was a naked guy sitting on the ouch, mastrubating. This happened in PG, Linden owned land.
I would't have been so annoyed by this if my 3 year old nephew hadn't been sitting right here when this happened...
I'm guessing that Red Angel Wings rezzed outside the plot and worked its way close enough to me to spam me (and a few others who were sitting there). How the owner tag got removed from the object, I have no idea.
has anybody else had a similar experience?
It seems to me that to prevent problems like this, SL should not automatically pop-up textures on the screen.... it sort of ruins the ability for me to use SL in my family room if I'm constantly having to worry about being porno-spammed in-world.

Yes, it should be an option to turn off images/notecard popups from strangers and strange objects.
Items you own or are sitting on / attached to should be able to auto-popup still, however. |

I got handed one of those things by the girl who started that like a year ago, can't remember her name. Either way, i'm almost positive that stunt of hers got herself permabanned. And yes, I think textures and photos should probably be treated the same as objects and clothing, it pops up a box to whether you want to accept or not accept, and if you accept it just appears in your inventory until you see what it is. _____________________

When I was only a month old into SL, the avatar who was my boss at the club I worked in dropped six nude photos into my inventory. I have no clue as to why he felt I would want to see the pics, I'm just glad my kids were not around when they came up on the screen.

Oh wow, I remember when I was about a week old here and was at The Edge and I got a nude pic with the same persons name. Some girl who had been wronged had passed them out or something. I could have gone without seeing that because it wasn't pretty lol.

Chances are this has been handed out, and while the origional may have been delt with, copies linger in peoples inventory.. As for "unknown user" probably someone reported the user, not the object.. so the user got banned and "unknown" lol, and the object remained.. if you can track down the object, right click it, choose rate, then report abuse.. Or contact a Liason..
