Unable to buy L$ via PayPal?

As if everybody didn't already have enough problems this weekend ...

I have PayPal set up as my billing for SL, and this morning both my partner and I tried to buy L$ via the client and via the website, and were greeted with this message:

Couldn't purchase currency: Failed to bill your account. Please double-check your account's payment settings.

I reset my PayPal preapproved billing agreement -- no dice.

In Live Help, Hermia Linden said they were just now getting word that this is happening, and recommended the PayPal reset (which I already tried), and an email to [email]billing@secondlife.com[/email].

Has anyone with credit card billing had any luck buying L$ today?

Despite lacking a need (and the price!) I just tested the full process:
  1. Increased credit $50 using Credit Card
  2. Placed Market Buy for L$10,000
  3. Comfirmed order, was charged and my balances (both USD and L$) updated correctly

Aah, it's definitely a LL -> PayPal issue then ... thanks for checking that out, Clubside. PayPal itself is working fine, as we did non-LL transactions with it this morning.

If nothing else, resetting my PayPal info and billing setup generated a new billing ID, so I feel a bit more secure. (Actually, Robin said that they IDs were encrypted *and* LL reset all their PayPal billing passwords anyway, but still it couldn't hurt.)

Guess I'll be lending my partner some L$ for the weekend; I'm somewhat flush but he's broke. Fortunately I think he's probably good for it. :)

Sean !!the same thing happend to me ... i had Finally went to my Slexchange and got my lindens there .... i think the web page needs some work here too ...

They fixed it ... as of 4pm SLT I was once again able to buy a wheelbarrow full of L$.

Still not working for me.

Someone in the Tech Support thread said they called LL and was told it was a "known issue" and would be fixed on Monday.

I got the same problem with my PalPal-Account. I agreed the "billing agreement" from PayPal und still can't buy $L. I live in Germany and calculated the € > $ change with xe.com. PalPal checked my account and they said that everything is ok with my account. LindenLabs didn't answer to my email - so I think they don't need my money. They never answered to any questions I sent.

I sent mail too and didn't get a response, but I don't think LL offers any kind of support on the weekend (not a very user friendly practice). So I'm waiting for Monday to see if they get back to me or fix the problem.
