What have I missed since July?

I've been out of the SL picture since July thanks to RL work and activities. What's changed? What's new? Enquiring minds want to know! :)

Welcome back, Olympia!

I came back too at the end of August, but I left before you did, so it's hard to say exactly what you've missed - let's see now...

Tringo's still popular on the events list, but Slingo/Blood 21/Greedy Greedy/Quintzee are all hot on its heels.

Primtionary is making a come-back.

v1.7 just came out, and the main issues seem to center around slow texture loading.

There are a lot more private islands now.

People are arguing about the terminology of buying/renting land.

There was a Real Life convention in New York, Anshe and Prokofy danced together, and the best set of photos can be found here.

The Map in v1.7 looks really nice.

(Okay, I'm done ... help me out here?)

Well, there was lots of Tringo events you failed to show up to. I think that is the main thing you missed. Yep, I seem to remember well over 1000 Tringo events you missed. :)

I kid the Tringo players, I only kid. Seriously though, you've missed a huge update, that has a long list of changes made in announcements, including great things like rotating attachments, and new HUD attachments. You missed the ratings bonus being canceled, and you miss the closing of GOM. You also missed the Linden Labs exchange named Lindex being open just in time to save us from GOM being down with a great new Linden who did an amazingly fast job. You might of missed the recent attack by griefers that crashed the entire world with grief balls. Those are the main things you missed.

Olympia's baaack! Warm welcome back. Lisse and Dark have summed a lot of things up.

There's been a lot of growth of SL lately, big news articles like the NY Times one have attracted a lot of new Resis.

I'm still blogging about my experiences! :)

Welcome back neighbor!!! Green is still mostly in our hands. A new group moved in recently, though. :( Maxx and October still have interesting things going on over on their plot. Seems they have bought more land some where yonder as well.
