I seem to be unable to teleport to whatever place since the update; it times out every time. Anyone else experiencing the same problems?

Yes, everyone, almost. Some people succeed if they remove ALL attachments first.
Lindens are working on it.

Right after an update this happens alot as the various computers are basicly rebooted and have to re-establish communication. This takes time but instead of having you wait another 8-24 hours to let you back into LL they open it early as they also know you should be able to fly, drive, and even ROAM to most other destinations. Some haev reported saving locations to your computer like a bookmark or weblink seems to help as well.

We are aware of and working on the teleportation issue, it usually takes some time post-update for things to stablize. Thanks for your patience!

What the hell is wrong with you people? I'm sorry. I just can't believe that after nine-million updates, we still don't understand that The Grid All Hail The Central Grid needs a few hours to settle before we start teleporting around and working with our inventories. Every sim has to download immense amounts of data from The Asset System All Hail The Central Asset System to their squids. The whole world will be pumping data like water through a dam for the next few hours even when noone is logged in.
Of course we have teleportation and inventory issues. That will be true until tomorrow. It is normal. It is routine. It happens every time. It doesn't need to be fixed. We need to be fixed.
