Film Production in SL?

I'm not sure if this is where this topic belongs, but I couldn't find another place that looked more appropriate for it.

I've seen some forum posts and ads in SL itself about Film Production in SL. I'm a Film/Television Production student and am very interested in finding out how this is accomplished. Does anyone have any information on this?

There are few people making machinima videos. There is a built in save to video in the client under "File". It allows uncompressed as well as a few different video codecs.
