So it looks like we can't now pre-download the update from the SL web site as the downloads page redirects to the status page. I can understand why they'd do this for people coming to the web site for the first time wanting to check out SL, but it was always quite useful begin able to pre-download the client whilst the grid was still closed. I take it we'll now only be able to download it once the grid is up?

I noticed this as well. Its also quite possible that LL may provide a URL here or in #secondlife directly the the executable. If I stumble across it, I'll be sure to post it here.

actually if you had a copy of the preview on your hard drive before, just try to login and let it do it's usual download and install of a new version
