I have noticed several times over the past few days that Linden posts directing people to information in the blog are linked generically to the main blog site, not to the blog entry that contains the info. What is the point of this? For example, there is now a link at the top of these forums mentioning the changes to the forums - however, when you go into the post, it just directs you to the blog. There have been all kinds of entries since Robin's post about the forum changes.
If we are going to have to use the blog as an information resource, please at least link directly to the relevant blog entry instead of making us scroll through an enormous blog to try to find information that was easily accessed in the announcements forum in the past.

Lindens don't like to copy and paste.
 That aside, I think it's because for example in a World Broadcast that it's not really easy to copy and paste a long url. _____________________

Lindens jump at the first snazzy web thing they see.
Just look how Torley endorsed slstats then later retracted cause of public outburst. This blog idea is the lamest thing ever. If it was ment to be important stuff, then stop posting about how sexy Philip is. Blogs don't lead to easy information retreval, you only see the lastest stuff, it's hard to jump in and find something layers below. In the case of the forum, the announcements were placed in one place, can be tracked all the way back, so you know what exactly happend 1 week ago. etc. Seriously, Lindens need a clue bat. _____________________

They can probably go to TinyUrl or EflUrl and get a small URL to use. Isn't the panel the messages are displayed in big enough to put a short short story in?
