ok we did fun and people are still posting to that thread. in reading that thread and all the (CENSORED) comments made me think what is the strangest thing you have done in second life? (not that doing (CENSORED) is a bad thing but it did make me think of some of the strangest things i have done.
I think the strangest thing i have done is when i boxed in my partner in a multiwalled box with the inside walls completely black and the out side walls totally clear so we could see in and watch as she tried to escape.

One time, I was climbing up a skyscraper with breakable glass. I thought that was pretty kewl. All of a sudden, I see a blimp enter from the south (this was in Morris Sandbox), and I'm hangin' out with some other folks and they start to freak, seeing this zeppelin crawl its way across the skies. And I'm like "I bet it's just gonna pass right through and we'll be unscathed".
But noooo, it didn't! Instead, it slams right into the breakable glass of the tower, and smoke plumes begin blaring out, the visual effect as loud as a whining baby and a klaxon combined. It's right then that I lose it and start going, "OHHH THE HUMANITY!!!" and jump off the building. Zeppelin goes down, I fall onto the ground. I stand up and dust myself off. Well, in hindsight, it's not so much that it was strange--it was more... how shall we say... an unexpected, pleasant surprise. Emergence. _____________________

I think some of the strangest things I've done in SL have more to do w/explaining SL to folks that've never been here.
It goes something like this: "You see, I have this friend, I've known for a year, dresses as a (pic your animal or non-human form) is a (man/woman) but appears as a (woman/man) and we like to go to amusement parks, parachuting & splat/dying, flying around building castles in the sky all while being on opposite sides of the globe/timezones/across town/sitting next to each other, while folks are having LOUD (XEXX0RS) 2 feet away in mid-air because the building/furniture they were on got 'picked up' mid-pickup.", is that strange or is that normal, I'm not sure anymore.  That and cyber dancing for hours on end, and how well I do it somehow mattering to me.  _____________________

I've done a variation on this one. My partner used to have it set so that she logged in at her “home” point each time. One day I built the black inside/transparent outside box on her login point. I knew about what time she would be logging in so I was standing there waiting. She logged in and I could see her start to look around. So I started to talk to her: me:hello, how was your day? Her:uhm...something is wrong. My screen is totally black me:really? I can see you just fine. (the truth  )Her:I will relog and see if that helps At this point I broke down and told her it was a joke, but I supposed I could have gotten her to relog a few times before deleting the box while she was offline and then pretending I had no idea what happened. I can just imagine the bug report on that one! hehheheheFor some reason she logs in at random places now. |

Sitting on the tip of a penis shaped hoverbike while my partner flew us in wild arcs all over the sim crashing through trees and oceans.....
playing Ringmaster in a gladiator style group pillow fight contest with push scripts and people knocking each other flying from one end of the sim to the other...... I love this place!  _____________________

Hmmm ok well I DO remember the time when the group of us spent lots of time and money transforming ourselves into the Gilligan's Island castaways. THAT was fun...and kind of scary in hindsight thinking about how serious we became in the transformation processof trying to make it PERFECT. _____________________

When I was new I kept trying to put clothing items on the ground so I could see what they looked liked. After filling an object full of clothes I finally figure out it wasn't working.
