Dear Linden Lab,
The Second Life Community individually investigates the circumstances of every Abuse Report we receive. Following a careful review of our server records and logs, we have determined that your recent actions violated the Second Life Community Standards or Community Terms of Service. The violation in question occurred on August 10, 2006 in the region of .
Violation: Workplace Suspension: PR Speak, PR Spin, Damaging the Community
We value an open environment in which Lindens feel free to express themselves, even when their views may not be popular.
From time to time we find we need to take disciplinary action on the Linden Lab Blogs, when someone is determined after careful review to have violated either the Second Life Community Standards of the Community Terms of Service.
Violation: PR Speak, PR Spin, Damaging the Community
We believe in an honest and open free exchange of ideas, and in always maintaining a respect for the opinions and positions of other people. However, PR Speak (using nonsensical words to sound productive), PR Spin (posting a blog entry that whitewashes something detrimental to the community as progress), and Damage to the Community (a blog entry or action with an intentionally harmful action directed towards the Second Life Community) are not allowed in the Linden Lab Blogs.
You have been suspended from the Linden Labs Workplace, Second Life, and the SL Blogs for fourteen (14) days and will not be able to access your desks, the blogs, or Second Life.
Starting an inflammatory poll about the Community.
The rules of conduct are interpreted with the broadest meaning possible.
Discipline
As a result of this violation, your Workplace privileges, Blog access, and Second Life accounts are being temporarily suspended for a period of 14 days. They will return to active status on Monday, Aug 29, 2006.
Recourse
If you believe that this notice has been sent in error, or that the details of this incident have not been adequately examined, please address your concerns in an email to [email]abuse-manager@slcommunity.com[/email], where it will be absolutely ignored.
We will not disclose the identity of Residents who file Abuse Reports.

It has come to my attention that some Lindens are showing up to work as their alts. It is the policy of the Community of Second Life to include the individual and their alts in the ban of their Workplace, Second Life, and Blog. For those of you at work at Linden Lab as an alt, please step out of the office until your 14 day ban is over. This does not apply to those Lindens that didn't participate in the recent use of PR Speak, PR Spin, and Damage to the Community as highlighted in the parent post.
