Apologies if this was posted earlier, I couldn't find it. This is an article from the Wharton School focusing on economics. I don't know much about Wharton apart from Donald Trump having namedropped it. There are some SLpecific errors. Such as: From: someone Land is also available in Ahern, Dore and Morris, and property values are surging. (Yup that's right, I'd like to carve out a parcel right near the WA. ) All in all... have a look for yourself! Click here to read "The New New Economy: Earning Real Money in the Virtual World"

Torley, thanks for posting links to articles that I can send to my mom, who might then stop saying, "You need to stop playing that silly game."

Ha! Its good to see Wharton noticing - I suspect this was probably done with some nudging from Kevin Werbach, a buddy of my father who's done a lot with Second Life and runs the yearly Supernova conference. Perhaps Philadelphia and the University of Pennsylvania (Wharton is one of the four school that make up U Penn) would be a good spot for SLCC 2006, although I suspect somewhere non-east coast might be more fair...I'm naturally going to favor Philly, with living here and all. Regards, -Flip
