Calling all interested in Real Life Education in SL! Please go to blog http://rampoislands.blogspot.com/ and sign up with Ramapo Volunteers to help build/design or contribute to Ramapo Islands. Ramapo Islands are three islands which will be closed estates once my students (8th graders from Suffern Middle School in Suffern, NY) come in world. Please read the blog to understand that these islands are on the main grid but adhere to LL standards and rules as they will be completely closed (no on or off) once my students are in. This is a good thing as I will be able to invite residents onto the islands for mentoring/demos etc., and the islands are open now to volunteers. I do need residents to understand though that the islands will not be accessible to the main grid once the kids are in. I am at SLCC and would love to connect with those of you who are of a philanthropic nature. Remember how bored you were in 8th grade? Come and help to lead the way for the Digi Natives! Build it and they will come... The blog explains curriculum connections and the basic plan for the islands. All suggestions are welcomed!

This is a really cool idea! If only I could get our school board to front the 3/2 x $1250 for three sims... and pay tier for it too.
