I waited 5minutes plus for a texture to rez.Realizing there was something wrong I relogged.....Now it seems theres a timer for relogging back in.
Now LL should be fixing the problems that cause us as players to relog not preventing us from relogging because of they're ineptness.Seems that stupidity is the name of the Linden game.
Come on LL fix the problems that cause players to relog. Thats the smart thing to do not some moronic timer for relogging. There are no timers in other games you bunch of Idiots.

You can ignore the "time until you can log back in" bit on that message. Just hit enter at each prompt and after about the third try (a min or so) it will let you in.

I think it's because they changed the log out procedure with the last update. Before it used to hold you while it logged you out. Now it logs you out instantly, then after you are gone it does all the log out stuff. So if you try to log back in while it's still doing it's log out stuff, it gives you the error. Just give it time to finish your log out, and you can log back in.

Tried that ... no luck ... came to the forums voiced my problem went back in and it added another 7-8 minutes.I just don't understand why after this long of the (game) being open that there are still major bugs still continually created and recreated.

It does this on rare occasions. Most of the time when you relog it's instant.

Well, it's tricky comparing the Second Life Grid with "other games." I don't think there are any other virtual world environments that are made up of a peer-to-peer system of a couple of thousand servers...or, if there are, that they use servers which interoperate nearly to the same degree as Second Life sims.

It sounds like the sim you were in was struggling with normal processing. It couldn't rez your texture in under five minutes; maybe it also couldn't notify the Grid of your departure in a timely fashion. I know I still get timed lockouts from the occasional crash, whether it's a sim crash or a client crash. But I'm always able to relog instantly when I've quit normally.

Another thing: I've crashed a number of times since the new release, but my lockout message these days always invites me to retry in "about a minute." The extended lockout you got was the kind of thing that was happening before the new release. It may be worthy of a bug report if it happens again, and also making sure in Preferences you're automatically submitting crash logs.

I disagree with your remarks about the Lindens, btw...I've done a bit of distributed systems programming, and I'm awed by what the folks at Linden Lab have accomplished. But no group of programmers is so bright that they can fix things they don't know are broken. So, bug reporting and crash logging are good things.

I think this statement says all that needs to be said.
