And I believe a lot of what was going on with my computer is newly discovered Noise on the Cable line between me and Comcast and also the Preview World is located on a different Machine
I am impressed at the detail in the graphics. The Lag, while present momentary is much less than it was. Only problem seems to be slow log off (Seemed to froze as I logged off) But this may be a one time thing.
Good job Lindens, it looks very good.

I was even able to log on with my work PC which is about as crappy as it gets for graphics. I was amazed! Good Job!

1. Preferences > Graphics Detail > Nearby Local Lights 2. Preferences > Adv Graphics > Nighttime Brightness > 0.000 3. World > Force Sun > Midnight
I may never see another SL sunrise.... woooohoooo!

From: Enabran Templar The preview world is located on a different machine? Yes, some of the retired machines (Or are they servers?) are used for the Preview I have heard

I <3 hardware local lights.
I just put a nice warm glow in my fireplace... it's primed and ready for sweetie-pie to come for a vist... the "make out on the floor in front of the fireplace" pose balls are in place! Woot!
Oh yeah, framerates seem better, but I haven't really clocked it. Just feels better. Is it occlusion culling at work?
/me dashes off to find the blurry grass party.

I'm thoroughly impressed with this update. Even though trying to link flexi-prims is a maddening exercise in herding mice I played around with creating some ambient lighting in my house and loved the effect so much I may never force sun on again This rocks. No lag at all so far. After my abortive attempt at making a flexi-prim skirt, I just threw together a flexi-cube, flexed to the max, colored yellow and stuck it on a stick. It wobbles like jello when I hold it and move around. One club security suggested I put the weapon away and I had to explain it was cheese on a stick, not a weapon!
