GRRRRRR, I've just about had it with uploading textures (which is about all I ever upload, at TEN dollars a time, count them, ten of my meagre dollars!!) - about half or more of the time, I upload something and the interface just freezes. Yes, I'm in a lag-free zone. Yes I cleared my cache. Yes I gave it enough time. Yes it's the right format. No it's not very big (tried to upload three times a tiny texture only about 4kb in size) - but still it just sits there, mocking me at the "uploading" stage. WHY isn't there a "cancel upload"??????? WHY do I have to quit the whole program, relog, start all over again????? WHY does it take my money before uploading the damn thing, so I keep losing ten dollars a shot????? GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

This has done this to me, quite a bit. Some nights it's easy to upload, some nights impossible.
What I DIDN'T realize is it takes the $10 even if you have to log off. Are you sure about that?
And yes, one would think there would be a "cancel upload."

From: Cocoanut Koala What I DIDN'T realize is it takes the $10 even if you have to log off. Are you sure about that? coco Well, it depends. The annoying ones are when the picture of what you are uploading appears, and confirms "ten dollars to upload" and you click ok, and THEN it hangs! From watching my dollar balance, it does deduct the ten, even if the texture never arrives in your inventory. I had 20 dollars refunded via Live Help one time, because I complained about this. If you look in your account transactions summary on the SL site, you can see what you paid for. If it includes textures you never got, then you like me have been stung. Bonny

Usually when I have problems with uploads not completing it's due to packet loss between me and the SL servers that has nothing to do with SL. Next time you have upload problems try running a traceroute and see if there's a problem somewhere. I have Comcast as an ISP and have frequent problems with fluxuating signal strength and line noise.

This is probably a totally wrong assumption on my part but I find that if I go up to my skybox my uploads seem to work better. My guess has always been that there is less lag up there. But I am probably totally wrong. You might give it a try anyway, see if it helps. It can't hurt anyway.
