Facial Hair Mods

My question is there an easy way to get a more realistic goatee? The appearence edit leaves alot to be desired in this department. I tried making my own and it looks ok at only certain angles. Also it is awfully stiff no movment like some of these hairstyles I see. I tried to connect a flexible peice to a stiff base after trying a fully flexible goatee it looked very bizzare. I would really like to have a goatee much like my real one long and squared. I was able to get the avatar to look so much like me (except the height and slightly less fat around the belly) only the facial hair really looks wrong.
