So, this is from the Wikipedia entry on SL: From: someone Second Life has its own monarch - King Morse Dillon. While not an official Linden Lab title, Morse is widely recognized as the King and is often seen in-world doing things such as helping new residents or giving away large sums of Linden Dollars. And I'm wondering, am I just clueless, or is this really a prominent player? I've been around for 2+ years and never heard of the guy, but I know a lot of people who do the things described there. Before I get all itchy and Wikiedit, I thought I'd ask.

From: Doubledown Tandino Being the king of second life is like having a hotel on Baltic Avenue LOL... I have to dissagree... Being the king of second life is like being in the belly of the titanic waist deep in water with a bucket and having the captain (LL) telling you everything is ok... pass it on

Long Live the King! I'm happy to report our Highness is alive and well and still kicking about SL. I was granted His pardon for doubting His existance. I'm sure tributes to His Majesty would be welcome. Just send them to me and I promise to foward them. Oh, by the way, he said his Kingship is loosely based on the history of the Emperor Norton , the erstwhile Emporer of America. Know your history!

Morse proclaimed his kingship long ago on these very forums. Though some protested, most didn't want the job and supported his highness. He is, as far as I know, still the one and only King of Second Life.

Yup amid much ruccus Morse came out one day and said he was king - noone could dispute it as he had a crown and the title over his head 'king of second life'.
Much hilariy ensued when he proclaimed himself king on the forums - and when people denied his kingship he would log back in and simply say 'nope - just looked - I'm still King!'
It was one of the funniest threads on the forums of all time, and at the end many begrudgingly accepted him as King of Second Life.. there was a group formed for his loyal subjects, and life went on as normal..
Much as the Sandman story by Neil Gaimen with the Emporer of the United States...
To this day Morse Dillon remains King of Second Life - and you can't really undo history... though some may retell it to their own advantage, and this is why noone really has any right to wipe the history wiki of that entry.
It happened - It's History - deal with it.

Thanks for everyone's support, I really do appreciate it Despite my best efforts I've been unable to locate that thread...seems the collective memory of these forums don't go back that far. Too bad... Incidentally it's worth noting that at one point The Kingdom was the 2nd largest group in all of SL If any of you who say you've never heard of me care for a visit, IM me

I know you are all upset because the king title is gone but here are some other ones you can claim:
Prince, Duke, Court Jester, Village Idiot, Head Blacksmith, Lord, Lady, Harlequin, Jokesmith, Baron, Overlord, Emperor, King Fish, King Pin, Empress, etc.
So please choice one of those or find your own calling lol

I am sure she could come up with some good ones for you, if you could persuade her to that is.
