Isn't it interesting that every week about this time we get a update and approximetely 3-5 hours later the system goes down. Makes you wonder if something could be done to make sure this doesn't happen every week. hmmm, let me see. OH YAH!!!

How about more testing BEFORE releasing updates that end up crashing the system!

Just my thoughts :)

They should do it every 2 weeks or so, just so they know they have it all worked out and take 9 hours on a wed trying to figure it out and taking away playing time form PAYing players

Preview is a joke I'm sorry, but they don't test all the features their implementing, they don't test the next update but a few updates away, they don't update code to reflect changes to the main grid, so its like yeah, were testing the cosmedics of the update, not the real update.

Really I think LL's main problem is their bandaide fixes getting them into trouble they find a bug and make a quick fix, but then never go back to redo that fix so its better, they just leave it there and let it sit until the next update breaks it again.

Well the preview sucks cus too limited in scope and many times it goes down right alone with the main system.

Give me SL or give me death !! hehe just kidding!

Proposal 1748

Hello, I ran across an excellent proposal today which would solve all these problems.

Proposal 1748

http://secondlife.com/vote/index.php?get_id=735

I put 8 votes into it and I wish i had 80 more to put into it.

Here is a summary:

Name: Monthly updates instead of weekly
Category: miscellaneous
Subcategory: other
Author: Dririthlan Bertrand
Prop Date: 2006-08-03

Feature Detail:
Weekly updates have become something of a drag on SL life and I beleive it would be a little less distressfull if we had monthly updates. That way they can properly test a release before updating the main grid and possibly avoiding some of the update issues in the future.

How about you getting on the preview grid and testing. That said they do alot of testing but some bugs dont appear until its put in a the offical grid. Yes some bugs show up in the preview and never get fixed.

i just wonder why they don't do the updates at midnight SL time? i'm sure those next 6 hours are not heavily used.
