What are LL's priorities?

I've been playing this game for about 2 years now and I love it. But I have seen some issues that really need to be looked at but don't seem to be getting much attention from what I can tell. I've noticed the lag issues have actually gotten worse than it was a while back. I can't go from one sim to a neighboring sim without lagging all the way across the sim. That's one thing that needs to be looked at and fixed. There are others, but that's my main issue.

But one thing I have noticed are the parts of SL that were "fixed" but weren't broken to begin with. I've seen alot of people are unhappy with the new snapshot. I personally don't like it myself. I used to take great pictures before, but now it's not too friendly. Dropping the forums, why? People get good info from these and the things people say crack me up. Good entertainment and good helpful advice. Leave it alone. I know there are alot of other changes that didn't need to be made, but I'm not going to go into them.

Some of the changes LL has made to SL have been pretty nice. The lighting is awesome. It really adds to the visuals of the world, and I've noticed the Force Sun option actually works now. Another plus. So not all of the changes have been bad.

I'd personally like to see some of the more important issues being taken care of first before these extras are heavily focused on. Some of you may agree, some may disagree, but I'd like to hear what some of you have to say about my thoughts and I'd love to hear some of yours about this.

The fixs have borken more stuff and the borken stuff have broken more stuff thats borken more stuff thats fixed some stuff thats borken more stuff thats fixed more stuff and broke more stuff.

Who even cares any more? Sigh.

LL is a coporation in a capitalistic society.
It's function is to generate profits for it's share holders.
It is not your savior.
It is not the answer to life.

They are in it to make money, like every other for-profit company. Duh!

3) To hear the lamentations of their women.

Don't most companies try to make their customers happy? lol
A happy customer brings in better business than a pissed off one.

They are also the very same company that promoted Secondlife and its residents as being more than this. It's a platform. It's the future of the internet. Your world, your imagination. Be the change. Need I go on ? They are being called on their hypocrisy not what they are.

So, what are you saying? That they've been full of shit all along? I'm shocked.

At once time, I did think there was a purpose. Now? Like many friendly small companies, they got the dollar signs in front of their ideals (I'm assuming they used to have some.) I'm not to sure of anything now. I guess I'll play SL until something better comes along, because this sure isn't working the way it should.

SL will never be the Metaverse, as far as I'm concerned. Maybe in 5 - 10 years, if it's still around.. but Havok 18 will be out and SL will still running Havok 1 and some other company will have created the Metaverse.

The teens are the new target group, folks. They get their forums, while LL uses us as toys for clueless experimentation. Nevermind the fact that we're the mommies and daddies that pay for our teens to be on the grid.. along with ourselves.

This is, almost verbatim, what dozens of people posted in January, 2004 when 1.2 was released and later when Avalon was auctioned. BTW, it's interesting that Avalon, a mainland sim, now has an estate attached to it. I thought we couldn't do that.

I couldn't tell you what their priorities are... but I could spend a couple hours telling you what I believe they are not.

Basic account, here I come!

I've been here for some time now as ppl will see in my profile..i was impressed so much i had an annual membership, paid for in the expectancy that LL would improve. Sadly however, there are things that HAVE improved, BUT, to the detriment of others. The others being either the ppl here who pay for a service that has been gradually winnowed down to being treated as someone with NO ability with a computer, ie. clear cache and relog, to the other extreme we seem to be witnessing lately, ie. 'hello i'm still waiting for a reply?'

The OTHER 'others' are those that 'complain' and 'whinge', a vast majority of which are also long suffering members/customers/clients. Yet what happens?. we're treated like children who should stop harrassing LL as they're 'trying to fix it', so say the LL sycophants/FIC/whatever you want to call them.

The vast majority of complaints/whinges/moans etc ARE directed at LL and for good reason..it's up to LL to STOP the rot before it gets worse. How many times must we see and read the SAME complaints in the forums?Yes i know many of you are so computer literate that you can see a remedy and see why LL are struggkling....but they sholdn't have to struggle......they either know or don't know what they're doing. And unfortunately?.....NOT ALL the ppl in SL are so competent, they come her to have fun and meet frds......but can't, even tho they pay the privilege for it. Meanwhile 'valued' (?) customers are upset and, in my case are no longer recommending it.


OK......i'm not sure what response i'll get from this......but i only want one.

LL?.....sort this out before you disappear up everyones 'collective asshole' .....please?
