I'm trying to get someone I know on here, but he refuses to join for fear of it showing on his statement. (Maybe it's a company Credit Card or a Credit Card he's "borrowing" from a friend?) From: someone When you registered, did it put ANYTHING AT ALL on your credit card statement, and I mean ANYTHING that would trace it back to SecondLife? I'm trying to coax him on, but I don't know the answer to the question he asked.  Can anyone help? Thanks. |

LL does a $1.00 authorization (no money is actually moved), which we then immediately void. However, because the worldwide credit card infrastructure still runs somewhat slowly, it can take banks weeks to clear the authorization. In the meantime, some banks erroneously list it as a charge on the person's statement.
This is the only method to verify a credit card.
