Alt-Zoom Studios is hosting the Take 5 Machinima Festival, where SL users make movies, and we screen them live, in-world. You have a month to make a film that is less than 5 minutes long with a theme of "Start."

Read More at www.alt-zoom.com/take5.htm

We had a great time doing the ed wood festival last week (see these threads ,) so this is a great opportunity to get involved with Machinima in SL. I'm glad to answer any questions here :-)

ps, please excuse the ugly webpage - we are working on a whole-site design, but I wanted to get the announcement out there.

As bad as my last attempt was i'm not sure if i'll be able to top it but I can't wait to start.

I'm not trying to hijack the thread, but if your curious what machinima is or how Second Life machinima is different that others check out my video blog for the Ideal World movie.

I have interviews with Paul Marino, the man incharge of the Machinima Academy of Arts and Sciences all week long.

CLick to watch Paul Marino talk about machinima

Good luck to everyone on thier entries.

Great news BBC!

I personally had a great time making the Ed Wood video... and at least we have a little longer this time, so hopefully we will get even more people taking part.

Machinima in SL is going to be big!....

Just bumpin - plenty of time to make a movie still - and everyone should! If you are not making one, why not?

Ok i downloaded it, but i read your tutorial also.

Just there's a problem... When i go to check and see if the thing i 'recorded' is in my folder... it isnt, lol. So if someone could give me a more indepth step by step for recording... or somthing.

Bump bump-a-lacious!

There is still over a week to make your film for the festival - those guys in the Ed Wood fetival did it in 72 hours, so you still have plenty of time.

Hello all,
I'm a total nooby here, but perhaps I might
still come up with a short clip, although it's going to be a huge fight
against the clock.

BTW I would like to read BuhBuhCuh's tutorial, but the links at the Alt-zoom
webpage seem to be broken..?

Looking forward to this. Really enjoyed the last one. :D

Not sure about the links or where video goes after being saved.

Hi Siemen,

I hope you can make it! It doesn't have to be 5 minutes, it just has to be Less than 5 min.

I fixed the forums, so the (crappy) tutorial should work now.

Good luck to everyone - one more weekend!
