It takes hours whilst LL tests the release, does rolling updates of the servers, and makes sure everything works alright. It's the main grid, ya know, so they take it slow.

My three sims have just reported their reboots to me, so things seem to be progressing.

I think the Lindens use that time to test all the sexball to make sure the primary entertaiment source still works.
