It seems like I have to update Second Life every week... this gets old quick. SL is worse than Microsoft Security Updates!!! Lets have fewer but more meaningful updates. Maybe once a month or everyother month.

If they don't update things, people bitch. This is just proof positive that you can't please people, and that people by and large, suck. I don't often say this, but shut up already.

Updates are a good thing, trust me. (Unless you can't log in afterwards.) We used to beg for them in TSO. For months at a time. coco

From: Cory Black It seems like I have to update Second Life every week... this gets old quick. SL is worse than Microsoft Security Updates!!! Lets have fewer but more meaningful updates. Maybe once a month or everyother month. Or how about they fix bugs that prevent people from accessing their game as quickly as possible?

Update = Holiday Blues
12-08-2005 00:37
Well, as the grid evolves and peoples wants multiply - updates must happen. MY wish, is that LL would NOT drop a major update right before a holiday. Recently, I had planned my wedding and attendance at several themed events around a holiday. LL dropped a stinker of an update just prior, and I was in time dialtion hell for all of it. Holidays are generally big "event" times. I won't bemoan the loss of a dance party, but I WOULD have liked to enjoy my wedding. Ah me.... this too shall pass

I just wanted to point out that everyone usually complains that patches break too many things at once, and should be smaller.

I just wich they would spent more time on makeing the game run stable. it seems with every update we get the game craches more and more. At the moment i am realy realy glad if it doesnt crach for 30 min. This actualy made me dump SL for the most part and move on to other worlds.
Hope they will get it to work better soon.

Along that same line of thinking, Frozen, I just wish the updates didn't make the game worse. Improvements have been made since 1.7, but what if this business of textures as gray boxes might be here to stay. When I got on the boards this morning, I saw just that featured in a pic somebody took, captioned to say that the world was still gray boxes. coco
