Hi,

I was in my home sim (Gooruembalchi) earlier and experienced massive lag all afternoon, I contacted live help and a Linden responded that there was a problem (she wasn't specific what the problem was) and did a restart of the sim.

When I logged back in, all my neighbors prims were gone, his store, his builds all gone. The rest of the sim looks OK, only his items are all gone. He spoke with the particular Linden who did the restart and was told that there was nothing she could do, that he should file a bug report.

There was over 1800 prims and 500+ hours invested in his builds. Needless to say, he is not very pleased at this time.

He did file a bug report. He also says that if this things cannot be restored, he will not rebuild and leave SL. :(

Just another instance of the continuing problems with SL.

Hmm, I'd contact a Linden/support and ask for a rollback.

Heavens to Mergatroid. I think I will never again request a sim restart, no matter how horrible the fps gets.

This is why you make backup copies with a Rez-* (Rez-Faux being only L$600 </shill>;) product.

You can do the same thing with Builder's Buddy which is free in the SL Scripting Library.

My neighbor called tech support and they are going to do a rollback. The first Linden we talked to after the restart told us that a mainland sim rollback could not be done.

The Tech Support Linden, however, was very helpful.

That's a relief to hear!
