I am asking my girl friend. Can someone tell me where a lady can go to get a custom made body shape and skin. We have looked all over and can't find a place that does this.
Also looking for a store or content designer who makes the top of the line bodies and skins. Thank You.

Off the top of my head, I think Looli Hoffman does these. Custom skins are expensive, though. Expect to pay L$1500 or more.

I'd talk to Jessika Klein she mostly works with kid shapes but she makes some awesome adult shapes too! she doesn't do skins though.

Only actual thing I do now in SL is create custom skins/clothing .There are some wonderful skins out there but for the price of most they arent really all that great. I would do a search for skins in places and just try to travel around.

If you don't want to do that there is always slexchange.com

Make sure you try a skin before buying it, too... most (good) skin designers willl also make free/L$1 demo skins. You can't really tell from a static 2D image whether or not you're going to like a skin, so using a demo and moving around for a bit wearing it is a very good idea. Of course, this is really only helpful if you're going for a premade skin... I've never had a custom one made up for me.

For custom body shapes, see Angela Robertson. She does an awesome job at body shapes and is very reasonably priced.

I's look at Starley Therian's skins, If I were a woman in need of a great skin. As far as shapes go, use the sliders. Start with the defaults and move the sliders, no more than 3 points ant a time, and stay within ten of the default, this will give you unique features, and yet maintain an asethetic within relative human norms. Subtle and more extreme changes (say within 20 points can give you defining characteristics.

You might also look at Celestial Studios. They have some very expensive human female skins, but from what I saw, they were exquisitely detailed... Price range was L$1500 to L$6000. They also have wonderful prim hairstyles there!
