A roof sexually assaulted Bu as a child. I heard about it in the paper.

Roofs can be nice places to stand on in Second Life. They are also good for jumping from one roof to the other, with a jump booster.

You know, I felt this way once. I'd just completed my first Victorian era suited build and the angles and bits just drove me nuts. Prompted an immediate IM to Desmond Shang telling him that anyone who specialized in Victorian era builds was stark raving mad.
Oddly, he invited me to build some 'stage dressing' for an upcoming sim as a result and now guess who does period specific builds? Hmmm.
Geee, I guess that says a lot about my mental stability... *wanders off to the corner of her build platform mutter about nutty cat-girls, angles, angels and fruit sorbet*

Yes. I hate roofs, and have stated for a very long time now that I hate roofs. That's why you see so many flat roofs in SL. I often wish I had a SAW. Just a plain old saw like any respectable carpenter would have. coco P.S. It warms my heart to hear someone else saying what I have so often said.
P.S. Who knew we would be getting to a stage of our lives, where we actually utter (with passion and numerous times), "I hate roofs!"

If I had learned to build roofs first, I'd have beaten my computer to bits with a sledge and gone to study with monks somewhere cold.

My trick with roofs? Positions and the horizontal orientation are typed in.

You could use a single prim hollowed out cube cut in half and rotated to a horizontal pitch. typing coordinates is also a great suggestion, assuming you are going for a A shape.

Come to think of it, I think I once started a thread with this exact same title! (Only with an exclamation mark.) Too lazy to go look it up, though.

I like roofs! But not on private sim telehubs! (*zone in, fly up, klonk head*) And not if they're too low (makes the camera flip out!).

Me too!
Of the latest places I've lived in SL:
1. Pimushe: we had a house, but we hung out ontop the roof. 2. Fhtagn Point: we lived in a castle ruins... no roof. 3. Mew: we live on a tree-house platform... no roof. 4. Fhtagn: we live on the aft castle of a shipwrecked sailingship converted into a dock and sitting area... again, no roof.
Roofs just get in the way!!!
