Without General and Sandbox to drive traffic to the classifieds who will read them? It will be like a web page with only advertisements and no content.

I doubt that many people who read the new product releases are actually coming here to check the sandbox drivel or general forum first. If it was the case, by the same logic no one would ever check sites like PxP or Linden Lifestyles which are 100% about new item releases, pretty much. These interested in shopping comes to check what's of interest to them -- new product announcements. Not the 100th whining thread about how new Goreans will bring new furries and whatnot -.o |

Why do we even have a Classifieds forum? And yeah, who is going to go there since no one will be going to forums.secondlife.com from Friday on.
And, well I dont care to read the blog. I love Torley but I feel like I am biting into a candied apple every time I read that blog.
So sorry, I am just a cynical person. In fact, I think most of this crowd is cynical so we have all been overfed with sugar coated candied double fudge basted version of reality. And it is making us break out in hives, and get really nasty cases of allergies.
I know you love us all and we love you. Just don't talk to us like we're kids. We're not. I am 33 years old with multiple degrees and I have a great career in distance education, speak two languages fluently and I am also a painter who gave up painting to focus on creating things in SL(don't even go there). I have been on multi user chat rooms ever since their early beginnings. I have a ton of web and software development experience. People like me getting on here telling you that the way you develop your software is whack is not something you want to hear. We got it. Just dont expect us to read the blog which to me sounds like the gravewine of the Borg.
If you choose to kill your community, dont be surprised when your community disowns you. Am I leaving SL, hell No! I am going to be here for a long looooong time. So bring it.
Sorry this all got incoherent towards the ... well since the beginning of this post. Sorry. so sorry. I am finding it hard to be coherent given the pending end of the forums.
Forgive me.

And they will still use the Classifieds. I'm so glad we are going to get to keep these.
