I can't... I missed the cutoff by ONE DAY!

...or maybe 2...

I was rezzed on 9/21

When they say "Before 9/20" do they really mean "Before 9/20" or do they mean "9/20 and before"?

not that it matters in my case....

And all that Betatesting experience... SHOT TO HELL!

Oh well... I'll see it on the 16th.
..or so

Should you be using words like "broke"? ;)

100 Av's and nothing is broke :) Did I hear one of the Lindens here whisper, 1.7 is shipping next week?

107 avatars were on that sim at its peak, and a post in the announcements section says that that version will be released sometime during the week of Oct. 16th.

I didn't hop over to Preview but reading that y'all fit 107 people in a sim made me warm and tingly all over.

I'm trying to figure out how you could tell how many avatars were in the sim, since when I looked at the map while in Dore I never saw one green dot. I could see the avatars as I was working on my preview project, but I never saw green dots on the map or the mini-map.

Also Psyra has this cool Snapzilla pic of all the green dots.

Unfortunately there's no way I can make it to the party cause it's just past lunchtime here and I have to do this silly thing called work, but I'd be very interested to hear a bit about sim stats from anyone who attended. Particulary the Sim FPS. I understand how the sims are capped at 45fps now, but with 107 people in a sim did anyone notice any change in the fps whatsoever? And if not, is there any point at all where we would start to see sim fps drop in 1.7?

Ahh, yes, Stats bar. I didn't think of that. My map never looked like the image post on snapzilla even though I was near other avatars and could see them on the map. Ohh well. I was impressed I was able to stay logged in longer than 45 seconds.

Many of us had our STATS windows up during the test. I noticed no change in the Sim FPS at all. And even with 107 avies at its peak I was getting around 8-9 FPS (with everything turned off) which was certainly manageable. There were many "greys" but it certainly was way better than expected and many said they were impressed.

Oh and one of the Lindens said that only 30 av's "render" on my computer for some reason so that is why it doesn't LOOK like there are that many people in the shot but trust me they were there. :D

This is great news! I hope they release 1.7 before the 2nd Annual Linden vs. Resident Snowball fight (If there is going to be one, I'm just hoping there is).

Whoa. When I was a noob, we had a big event in Americana's Fenway Park... we reached a grand total of 22 and then the sim crashed

Hmm, 1.7 ships on the week of the 16th. Did they fix llSetScale again? I remember it was broken, it was fixed, and now it is broken again.

The town Historian strikes again!!! I was really hoping someone would post an account like that from back in the day. Thanks Eggy.
