RL & SL Interchangable?

I had a strange experience this evening. I went out to a pub in East London ( Clerkenwell area ) to listen to some friends playing and on my way home I heard someone in the street singing the Bananaphone song. OK, not signifigant except that the bananaphone figured high on the audio spam / stupidity stakes in SL. And in my post-gig state after 4 pints of honey beer / mead it felt very similar to any of the many times I'd been subjected to Bananaphone spam in SL. So much so that I felt as if I was in SL being spammed with the bad old Bananaphone song and actually looked around for a Bananaphone follower (!).

This got me to thinking about the existential implications of the interchangablility of RL & SL. Has anyone else had those moments where RL & SL seem to be one and the same?

Once I saw a cardboard box beside the road, closed up, and for a moment my brain thought it was a plywood cube.

Once I saw a fellow dressed in the old striped shirt noobie outfit.

Sometimes I hear the birds outside my window and I think it's Environmental Sound Effects. Only for a split second, though, of course.

One time, after a 32 hour spree in-game I got RL and SL confused and started flying around town looking for a club..

Still tryin to figure out how that worked

I dream about building and get frustrated because I can't read or see numbers in my dreams too well.
So I had to do it all visually with arrows.
Then wake up and do it all over again.

And then you know those dreams where your falling from who knows where?
Yeah.

I once dreamt an entire IM conversation though I have no recollection of what was actually said, it felt really important in the dream.

This one time, at prim band camp...

Whenever I buy something in RL I do a calculation (rough) to figure out how much it would cost in L$... I am obsessed with money... heehee!

A meal at McDonalds costs me L$1410
I have got to start buying canned foods.

Oh and L$510 in gas to get there and back.
McDonalds is only a few miles from my home.
I should sue cause they stop me from buying cheaper food.

I'll present my case in L$ because it looks like more.


Great now I'm going to be calculating this all the time too.
We need therapy.
.. wonder how many L$ they'll charge.

whenever i buy things in sl i figure how many cheeseburgers it cost me.

IRL ill try and figure out what SL shapes u could use to make something IRL, building ect.

i once had a dream IRL and SL had a bug and they merged and i flew around, grey Auckland looking for the rockshop, but it was all GREY!!!
