How ironic that on the last day of the Forums as we've known, loved, and hated them, a crisis should arise, requiring folks to share information, vent, get support, ask questions and be reassured. *sigh* Teh kittens will miss making posts http://www-personal.umich.edu/~bgoodsel/post911/goldie2.jpg

Just imagine how many griefer alts will have just been unceremoniously clicked because they made up email addresses when they created their alt accounts?
No one more than a griefer would have a reason not to give a valid address, so they've lost their rentals, their equipment, their monies - and their friends lists of other griefer's alts, who also probably can't get in. Whole bands of griefer groups have been broken up, probably never to regain contact with one another!
Of course, in time, they'll reform, but from today they're starting from square one, reacquiring griefer tools, forming alliances, scamming people out of money so they can begin all over again. Maybe they'll be disillusioned enough to just give up on the whole idea, and we can all enjoy our Second Lives..
And as well they should, because the people who are on SL to actually enjoy the service rather than shoot at people to see how much outrage they can stir up are the ones that will still be on SL long after the bored pimply-faced teenagers have been ip-banned.
These sad, bored kids should go back to WoW or wherever they came from and save themselves the legal hassles, time and embarrassment.
