If you're a prmium user with land, unhappy about certain.... 'real estate greifers'. And all you can do about it is bitch tirelessly and relentlessly bitch and moan in the forums, then I have a drastic way for you to let LL know you're pissed off!
RELEASE YOUR LAND ENTIRELY AND DROP BACK TO BASIC. Then.... if you're still converend about paying tier, call customer service and tell them that your fed up.
Okay, now, I did get a little 'saving throw' a few motnhs back when I was under hard times, I thank LL for that. And this is more of a jab at the land owners that cant' adapt. I am al ittle dissappointed by LL's lack of actions or feedback about this. But mostly I'm dissappointed at people playing 'the victim' here.
If you don't like something, go somewhere else. If you don't like the food, or the waiters, eat somewhere else. If you don't like the country's leaders, go somewhere else. If ou can't stand that filth on tv corrupting your children, DONT LET THEM WATCH TV. You can't make the world bend to your simple-minded view. Get over it. Adapt or die. Please STFU.

That won't help much, if too many people cancel and the income falls too low, LL will just close down the game as it's not profitable to run any more.
Then everyone loses out, thanks to the actions of one individual that really should be dealt with in a much easier, quicker, and less destructive way.
It really wouldn't take much to consider this 'spamming' and deal with it under the ToS. One protest sign, that's fine, but filling the grid with them.... nope, not allowed.
I'm sure the same 'spamming' clause could be used to tidy up the 'events calendar' too - but it seems like making people follow their own rules is not something LL is particularly good at.
We have 'professional' grid crashers and sign griefers..... do LL have no balls to deal with these 1% of people who disrupt the 99% of players who are here just to have fun?

A good portion of us don't give a damn about the signs. I don't see any reason to care if some guy wants to have an unholy amount of tier paid to LL so he can put up a fairly boring sign. I have seen much worse things in my year in a half in SL, so meh who cares about a few dozen signs.

I dont mean to sidetrack this post, but I voted with my dollar to support the Forest of Rodeo. I increased my tier to be able to donate and help a worthy cause. There are plenty of things that could easily vanish if not supported.

But we should also be proactive against people that would extort our world for evil gain.

How does releasing your land hurt a bad neighbor? It seems to me more like they win if you do that.

If you give up and move, they've won. As has already been said countless times, the best defense is to stay on your land and ignore the signs, don't buy the parcels they're on, and stop giving the guy the attention he craves.

No, because they have investors who want a return. They can't just deliberately give up, walk away and say "sorry folks, you're not getting any of your money back".

Yes, people who object to seeing other's complaints about the signs they don't like should vote with their dollars and leave SL and never access the forums again.

Actually. It's no longer the signs I find annoying. It's the General forum being jammed with people who can't find anything else to post about. Yesterday I annouced a new group, and overdid the introduction regarding the 'things we do'. A few people got pissed off. A few agreed, a few wanted to join. And a few asked me who Laz was an alt of.
I was tempted to just post 99% Of You Need To Get A Life. But then I realized I'm part of that list. I might get a life this month. Tomorrow is my birthday. Yay me.

Someone who doesn't like the general forum being used by other's to express their view, can vote with their dollars, cancel their account, and not ever look at the forums. Then the contents of the general forum won't bother them anymore.
Alternately one could support the creation of a forum for "Ugly builds next door and what to do about them".
Or one could try to pick either the Land and Economy forum or the Political Science forums for such threads to go in. One or the other of those ought to be able to deal with the question of what rights one has to do on the land they pay for.
Or do what people tell those who don't like this or that inworld to do - suck it up, get a thicker skin, deal with it.

I think I get what your saying, but I need to let the coffee kick in..... I was also having an aspergers fit yesterday, I least that's what I hope it was.
