Panthers are no longer slaves. They escaped slavery. So I do not understand how free spirited and strong do not apply to Panthers. Those qualities are what make Panthers. Panthers are free to do as they please and do not abide by the same rules as free women, or enslaved women.

So just of curiousity, how does one be female, free, strong willed, not act like all the other chicks in the Gor community yet still be interested in the Gorean lifestyle? I mean, if you were all those things wouldn't you by action be interested in things that were other than Gor since you weren't acting in accordance with the way everything else is?

Granted, given the actual Gor books are in the small category of ones I really have thrown across the room in disgust, I could be totally wrong. (I say this not to judge those who like the books or the "lifestyle"; I say this strictly as literary criticism. If it helps, I came real close to doing that when reading Tolkien, too. )_____________________
