We all know that indemnification to Telehub land owners won't happen as it would set a precedent ; and anyway it's part of the risk. But that doesn't mean that they don't deserve something to compensate their loss of land value!

Since it will not come from the Linden, it can only come from fellow secondlifers who are moved by the telehub land owners' misfortune (TLOM). I am such a person (moved by TLOM) and I'll show the example by giving money, under the form of time, to telehubs owner. If you are a telehub land owner, and you feel miserable after the drop of value of your land, IM IW and I will offer one hour of comforting cuddling to you. Pats on the back, hugs and nuzzles to make you feel better, if only for one hour.
I have several different cute and fluffy AV, hopefully they can help bring back a smille on your - so sad - face. (all furries ; sorry for people alergic to fur...).

My time is worth 15$/H, that's about 4000L/H , so if we must use cold numbers it will make it just like you lost 4000L less than you did. Isn't it nice?

I urge other people to offer their time too, let's all support our telehub land owner brothers and sisters during these sad times.

Telehub land owners! It's ok to cry! Don't keep all those sad feeling inside and become bitter!
Share them with SL friends that care about you.

(IM me IW to set a date and time.
This offer is available to telehub land owner only)

What a great idea! I will also promise to send every telehub landowner a cute cartoon object of some sort that makes an amusing noise - normal retail price L$1,000.

Change is something that you have to get used to in SL. While they've made some small improvements, Linden has historically been rather poor at communication - one of the best methods of mitigating the hardship of change.

I can live with my own Telehub land devaluing. I can live with no compensation. What I am having a tough time with is the insensitivity some members of the community are displaying towards those who are losing out with this latest change.

I don't remember a mess of folks openly mocking those who bought snow land only to find it rapidly devalued. Maybe its just buried.

At times I feel like those of us who are getting the short end of the stick are considered merely collateral damage in the cause to collectively punish Anshe.

I'll take my short stick and make the most of it. But stop shoving it down my nose, please.

The sad thing is that I'm actually serious. But my mind is so twisted that I couldn't help putting a bit of mockery in it... but with humor as a goal. Laughing about one's own misfortune is good ; I guess not all are in the mood to do it though.. .

I own a number of telehub parcels scattered throughout the grid, and like most others, I paid a pretty penny for them. I knew at the time though that they would eventually be rendered worthless by P2P, and here we are at that time.

There was always the risk that telehubs would be replaced/supplanted by something else. In all things in (second) life there's a risk.

As much as I'm not happy about seeing my investment money poof, I wont be crying much over it. Change happens.

I own an acre right next to a telehub in Hawthorne, so I'll take a lump with this one. I'm okay with it, but do feel for people who made a significant portion of their business from being hub-related. For me it was just a nice secondary location.
