Just an observation for the day, in case you're dying to know... In the current batch of last name options, there is quite a representation of San Francisco streets. Take a tour of the City from the wind-blown zoo in the southwest to a parking garage in Union Square to spots near Fisherman's Wharf and residential points here, there, and in-between: Arguello * Bernal * Bluxome * Brannan * Buchanan * Divisadero * DeHaro * Eddy * Folsom * Geary * Gough * Haight * Howard * Kearny * Leavenworth * Market * Moraga * OFarrel * Ortega * Palou * Portola * Sloat * Steuart * Stockton * Sutter * Vallejo * Van Ness http://www.memorabletv.com/images/streetsofsanfran1qm.jpg

The original sims (DaBoom, Ahern, Federal, Hawthorne, Jessie, etc) were named after alleyways in San Francisco. One of these years when I'm in San Fran I'm going to organize a nerf gun fight in Jessie! Regards, -Flip

Some of them, like De Haro, are also the names of very old sims. I've seen last names like "Stillman" and "Luna' and "Alviso" which are also all sim name names on the mainland. I love how the last names that the Lindens come up with usually have some meaning behind them.

The Victorian house that inspired Anne Rice's novel on which this film is based is located at 503 Divisadero Street near Alamo Square in San Francisco.

No gunfights, but we did collect some old mannequin parts from the trash bins of a now-defunct department store.

Do the names totally get messed up if you have to use "O" instead of "Ö"?
