lost items

Hi, not sure what area of the forums this should be listed under. I placed an item on my land. not long after that the lag was incredibly bad I ended up up logging off and resigning back on, and the item was gone after just a few seconds of being away. It's not in my lost and found folder. There's no sign of it at anyplace or any elevation, But I think it's still adding to my prim count. Is there a way to locate lost items? Thanks in advance.

I track these down by opening up my minimap and looking for blue dots. If your land is one big patch of blue, well it's a case of picking things up through a process of elimination. (This is why the buildings on my land are set to my group. I lose things all the time.)

I set everything perm. to the same group as my land, then use the land tools to return the stuff thats not grouped
