Almost there :)

Today the grid seems to be loading textures a lot quicker then before, as well as not lagging my client nearly as bad as last night. The speed, however, is still slow in contrast compared to pre-upgrade grid speed.

Nonetheless, thanks Linden Lab for getting her working again

I hope tomorrow's scheduled client update will alleviate all the other problems and get speed back to where it was =D

Lusk went down a second ago unexpectedly but now the textures load FAST! SWEET! =D

and on a side note isn't it odd that both of your posts were numbered 153? Or have I just seen too much grey and my eyesite is totally off...

There seem to be a pair of fixes. One's the new client which went out a couple hours ago. The other is a patch to the sim (which abruptly restarts the sim). I haven't got the new client yet, but I was in a few 'fixed' sims earlier, and they were all performing very well...compared to the unfixed sims which were still mired in grey fog.

Looks like if you are close to the sim border, in a fixed sim, next to an unfixed sim, you'll get some issues. It looks like the gridmonkeys are going through the sims in some sort of order, fixing them up.

No idea what the ordering algorithm is, but the results seem to be worth it.

Well, eheh, what happened to me earlier in Lusk, someone asked me where the store was (He wanted windchimes) so I said "Follow me "

I stood up from my bench and was instantly teleported to the top edge of the sim. I was still in Lusk but very high up and on the edge.

So, I click "Teleport to home" or whatnot, and flew back to the guy. I said "Ok, oops, follow me " and flew off towards the story with the guy following me. Randomly, SecondLife popped up saying "Requesting teleport..." on a standard load screen. After a while of it doing nothing, I clicked cancel.

Then I couldn't move or teleport.

So I got mad and just logged off haha =P
