Go to online help and ask them to help put you in touch with an SL Mentor. Most are good people who go out of their way to take people under their wings. There is also a forum here for the SL Mentors. That might be another good place to start.

you can always stop by NCI - New Citizens Inc.. for help.. there's a nice group of people there that will help you out.. :} I should be on later tonight if you still need some help.. lots of freebies and even classes are held there...
