Is my sim running badly?

I'm just wondering if these are good or bad stats for my home sim.

FPS 2.9
Sim FPS 44
Scripts running 1700+

It's seemed really laggy lately and takes FOREVER for all my textures to load. 10+ minutes off gray boxes instead of a house seems a bit much. I'm also tired of it taking at least 5 minutes to change a shirt. Would filing a bug report do any good??

Thanks

Need more information, Musicteacher, like what is your sim's Time Dilation, and total Frame time. But your Sim FPS looks fair.

Your client FPS looks awful, however. How's your computer setup?

A number of people are having long loading times, I am filing at least ten bug reports a day now for long loading times. Please file as many bug reports as you can tolerate and also please add another post to the This has to be a cache problem. And, yeah, the new default texture is bad. thread in the technical forum.

No, your sim isn't performing badly, all of SL is performing badly as the centralized asset server simply can't keep up with the requests for textures and objects.

LL has announced a biggish hardware investment (and downtime) on Tuesday. If one were optimistic one might hope this will improve things.

You may pray, and sacrifice, and otherwise seek to appease Dwellnor. But as the termite is so far beneath your notice, so are we below Dwellnor's notice. The only hope for us is to avoid the Mighty One's gaze, by not gnawing at the foundations of His creation in a way that is displeasing to Him, and thereby causing him to fumigate...

Wow, I'm happy to get anything like 2.9 FPS! I live at 1.0-2.0 client FPS almost all the time...

I remember once I got 7.0 FPS on Cape Destiny, and was amazed how smooth MagicJustSue's dancing looked. First time I'd ever seen an animation the way (I assume) it was supposed to be seen.

For me, they've all been running badly this weekend. Especially today.

I have had problems teleporting home (get an error and stay in same place), turning into Ruth and staying that way after teleporting, SLOW Find menu searches, lag spikes from hell, and sims crashing, to name a few.

*Prays to Mount Ga'al that Tuesday the gods will fix it*

The sims are supposed to run at 45 FPS right now, so the problem is not your sim FPS. The 2.9 FPS on your computer is very bad. Have you asked many other people in the sim what type of lag they are experiencing? I know some sims have been having repeated lag. There was a memory leak that Linden Labs has fixed, but it will take a few days for the fix to be tested. As far as I can tell, most of SL is lag free to me. I am actually seeing things load faster than they did for me in 1.6, so I'm rather confused by people saying everything is slower. One of the biggest signs to whether the problem is only your computer or SL is if you ask others in the sim if they are experiencing lag. If they are then it might be related to some problems on Linden Labs side, and a bug report could probably help them track down the problem. If no one else is experiencing the lag you are, it may actually be your computer. You may try turning off new internet software you recently installed to see if it was running in the background. You may want to get a spyware sweeper to make sure nothing malicious is hogging your internet without you knowing, and you may check your preferences again to make sure that one of the updates didn't reset things to a level your computer can't handle. Hope you get things up and running again.

If you do not know what I mean by spyware sweeper. There are programs that hide on your computer that can slow down your computer as a whole, and your internet. This may not be the problem, but it couldn't hurt for you to download a spyware sweeper. You can go to www.download.com and search for a free one like spy bot, or you can go buy one. My personal favorite is Webroot Spy Sweeper. I don't use AOL, but my friends tell me they have free spy sweepers available. Your virus protection won't catch the spyware.
