((Although this was funnier in concept than actual execution, I figured I'd post it anyway. If anyone can do better, you're welcome to follow up!))

Hey all, I was recently in my garden pruneing prims when I received a notecard into my inventory. After reading it I became alarmed and realized that a great danger has entered Second Life! Be warned all of you that the following is a scam, do not fall for it!

Notecard read:

I couldn't even finish reading all of it. It sounds like someone trying to sound smart or something.

I know because I've tried to sound smart before and my post looked exactly like that one :)

An SL-themed 401 Nigeria scam derivative.

And as for Varney....isn't that spot where the pirates group is?

You know what? A scripted "MAKE MONEY FAST" would actually WORK in SL.

It could check to make sure people didn't cheat, and the money base wouldn't run out because stipends mean that it isn't a zero-sum closed system.

Another for the list of "things I probably could make but had better not in case I get in trouble" together with the house you can wear, then enter. ;)

Haha I did this a couple of years ago with a few friends. We kept a gang of Romanians going for quite some time over the sale of a notebook on ebay. Got quite heated tho :D

Ok I read through it. And even though I didn't understand what it said i did notice that a doctor wrote it.

If Doctor Clement wrote it, it has to be a good deal.

Where do I sign up again doctor?

Well before the good Dr can give you the money, you first have to apply for a money holding account. For this there is a small fee of L$50k, which I am sure you aprreciate is peanuts when compared to the potential rewards.

Cheyenne,

If you didn't recognise that, you don't know how lucky you are!
