Now let me start by saying that I'm NOT complaining. I think I've found a bug and for some reason I find it absolutely hilarious so I thought I'd share. Why I find it funny? Who knows. Maybe because it's something that in my eyes, "shouldn't" be happening, makes no logical sense - dunno.. But here it is.
I've recently started to dabble in building houses for resale. When I'm done building, I take my packaged house (I've used both rez-foo and builder's buddy with the same results) to a nice scenic spot to screenshot it. I rez the house, take my shots of the outside, but everytime I try clicking on the door to go inside - CRASH!
I've duplicated this process over a dozen times, each time differently to try to figure out any common factors. My game always crashes when screenshots are involved. I can rez the house using either script and open/close the door til the cows come home without a single problem. But the second I take a screenshot and then try the door again - down goes my SL. I don't think it's the door either because I managed to crash once when I clicked on the packaging crate.
I'm not a scripter, totally clueless in that department so maybe this makes sense to those of you who are but I got zip. And like I said, I'm not complaining. I've actually enjoyed the process of tracking it down (yes I submitted the crash/bug report). lol

Ok - tis officially a bug and not so amusing anymore.
While exploring with a friend tonight, I took a screenshot.. A few minutes later clicked on a scripted game and crashed yet again. My friend tried to duplicate the problem I've been having and he crashed too. Couldn't take any screenshots of our fun night out. =(

Last evening around 7:47 pm, i went to remove some newby prims left scattered around, since Miss Noob had way too much fun with her magic wand, i figured i do her prims off in "about land" i found her name, ahhh 26 prims, highlighted and selected them to be returned to her. Hit the return button...hmmmm something strange happened, the sim lagged, her stuff did not immediatly dissapear, instead...peice by peice our Mall, condo's , all renters things, vendors were sent back, until another stall happened..and it suddenly stopped..we lost about 75% of the prims on our parcels in Hazeltine. A years worth of work down the ol crapper.
(FYI, no i did not hit the wrong return button, i even watch to see if only those prims im chosing are highlighted on the on the ground before i hit return, and had i hit "send em all back" nothing would have been left)
The Live Helper was so nice and supportive, not alot that they could do..they say our client got hit by lag and went "overzealous" until it came to its senses and stopped.
They cant do roll backs on the mainland sims, which i can fully appreciate, so appears Mart and i have a busy weekend ahead of us.
So just a warning be careful that your sim is in good shape before returning prims in the about land thing..hope this prevents someone elses nitemare..

They CAN do rollbacks on mainland sims. They just refuse to for some odd reason.

OK - I'm not even slightly amused anymore!!!
I officially hold the record for most crashes in one night!
Part of the joy I get out of SL is exploring and taking pics of my friends and I having fun together. Tonight hubby and I logged on together and tried to have a nice evening out (he lives two states away during the week so it's nice to be able to do things together in SL). Anyway, I crashed so many times I was ready to rip my hair out. EVERY time I take a picture and try to touch a scripted object - CRASH!!! What are my options? Either I don't touch any scripted objects or I don't take any pictures. Guess I could always print screen - that can't be any more annoying than crashing every freakin 5 minutes.
And don't EVEN get me started on the slow ass snapshot system. Ever try to take a pic of a person on a Slip'N'Slide with that thing? I got a lot of empty shots because the thing doesn't decide to take the picture untill after the person has already slid past me. ARGH!
