Normally I get 500 bucks a week. Not today.
What happened?
Edit: I want to add that normally in the Central Time Zone, US, The Pay comes in around 3am-4am. Not today.

As poster #2 notes above, there are repercussions to this delay; I know I wouldn't want to have to explain to my landlord "Really, I haven't spent my rent money on vSmack, I just didn't get paid this week yet; really!" Multiply that by some largish number of renters and you've got much upheaval. Plus, baby needs new shoes! _____________________

Would it be possible to be more concrete thus more reassuring? Will it be run today, or will it be run tonight at 2300 LST, or some other time?
