General, notices and well wishes, or classifieds if I wanted to register for gifts for birthday, christmas, or wedding/aniversary?

fuck knows. but evidently the Lindens don't, these days, either.

I reckon they're playing the "blindly make new stupid random rules without thinking and see what the fallout is" game lately. Notice multiple Hotline posts asking the same question have been conveniently ignored... undoubtedly because they have no clue what they're actually doing.. so can't answer us.

This would honestly be a good suggestion for one of the mall websites - SLEX, SS, SLB, etc.

I actually started developing one once (I wrote a gift registry service web app irl and it wouldn't have been much work to convert). Then people started kicking up a stink about people having your av keys and stuff and I thought it was probably more trouble than it was worth.

I know what you mean, but the gift facility on my ice skates vendor uses a name2key service to do the delivery and I've not had one complaint. In fact it's been really popular because people can buy for their friends from in-world with just their name and get them delivered striaght away.

Most people are not interested in how it works, just that it works, I guess.

LOL, thanks Mulch. But seriously the use of name2key services (I use Rathe's as it's very complete and accurate) allows you to make things much easier for the consumer. And it means I don't have to keep on logging in to drop pairs of skates on people as gifts! It's definitely an example of where a name2key service can be used for a great benefit. Hopefully we'll get an LSL command for it eventually. I think it would make a big difference to merchants.

Hey, Moopf! Join the club! I'm not a content creator, too, according to some people! I've been not a content creator for a long time! Even longer than I was somebody else entirely!
